Welcome to the home page of Woodbine English Springer Spaniels, named after Woodbine Cottage, home to Bob & Elsie MacDonald, who purchased this lovely farm house in 1996. Surrounded by a winding river and acres of woods and field, Woodbine Cottage is a dog's paradise. The MacDonalds have been involved with spaniels, in one way or another, for the better part of their lives. Bob has hunted over Springer's for 38 years, while Elsie was involved with American Cocker Spaniels for many years prior to meeting Bob. After meeting Bob's springer, Abby, Elsie was immediately won over by this loving example of the breed. As they say, the rest is history! Today, Thanks to their good friend and pro Jason Givens Sammy was high point Mid West dog for 2006 and received his FC and CFC with Jason running him. The MacDonalds enjoy Hunt Tests and a few Field Trials each fall. They have no plans of having a large Kennel . This is strictly for fun and a non profit hobby . The dogs are part of their family ,living in their home enjoying being spoiled. Elsie would not have any other way.
