FTW Woodbine Cottage's Maggie MH

BIO:

DOB 6/10/2001 Maggie came to Woodbine in July of 2001 at six weeks of age, the pick stud fee puppy of Lenore Severeni from a litter sired by her dog, Butchie. Bob's old girl, Abby, had died at the age of 16 the year before, and this special pup was to be Bob's replacement in the hunting field and the home. Making this girl extra special was a pedigree that had several dogs in common with Bob's old Abby.

Maggie is a super house dog with special bragging rights: she was immediately potty trained, with never an accident in the house, and had immediate house manners, with never so much as a shoe lace or piece of newspaper destroyed! Everybody who sees Bob and Maggie together has no doubt that she is Bob's girl--she lives to spend time with him. At the age of ten months, Maggie made the trek to Wisconsin for training at Lighthouse Kennels. Six months later she returned home to Bob, who missed his buddy . Bob and Maggie earned both her Junior and Senior hunter titles in 2003 & 2004.

In the fall of 2005 Maggie went back to Wisconsin to train with Jason Givens, She ran in 5 trials, finishing 3 and placing 2nd in one of them. She runs like the wind with a beautiful pattern and outstanding nosework. Maggie has a super soft mouth and lives to retrieve, which stands her in good stead in both the hunting field and the Trial game.
In the Fall of 2006 Maggie won the open with Bob running her at the Patriots Spaniel Club and then took the guns award as well.
In the home, this girl is fast friends with all of the grandchildren (and the cat!), and the MacDonald's grandson, Isaiah, has claimed Maggie as his own--"his dog" at Grampa and Grammy's house! Bob smiles fondly when he tells people that his girl has taught him more than any other dog he's ever owned, and he readily admits that some days have been good and others .....well....a little trying. Maggie will always have a very special place in Bob and Elsie's hearts and home.

Thank You, To their good friend Jason Givens for all of his patience training and preparing Maggie for Field trials and for her placements at two trials,. Jerry Cacchio for his clinics helping Bob handle Maggie for field trials so they could go out and win the open at the Patriots in 2006 along with the guns award. Thank you to Jason Green for coming out to stay for a few days in 2007 to work with Maggie.
